Sometimes it just restarts or otherwise it leads to the apple logo screen with the crossed circle and stays there. Using the -v boot flag, i recieved an error after some processing : Still waiting for root device I have tried using npci=0x3000,downloading maverick again from appstore, creating the USB setup by ,Myhack, manually via chameleon. But no change. Please help. I apologize if i havent provided enough information. Please ask if you need any other information. Gringo Vermelho
Still waiting for root device means that OS X has trouble with your hard drive controller. Apple does not use AMD chipsets or AMD CPUs. There are drivers available though. Find out exactly what model it is, google/forum search "still waiting for root device" etc. You'll also need a modified kernel to boot OS X at all on an AMD CPU. Edited June 20, 2014 by Gringo Vermelho Topic moved to AMD section

Actually, i even tried it on an Intel Processor. Hp pavillion 4530s i3. But the result was same.
Gringo Vermelho
The answer is also the same, you need a driver that supports your SATA controller. Although it should work on the Intel platform when set to AHCI mode in the BIOS. But sometimes that isn't possible (most commonly on laptops) and then you need a driver that has been modified to work with the controller in non-AHCI mode. Find out what make and model it is so that you can use that as a search term when looking for a driver for it.
