i ran the installer again but the patch gave me 'audio id=12 is not supported',

Suggests the wrong layout-id was selected in Chameleon Installer.  Try again, select 1.  Does not work when Chameleon is saying 12 and HDAEnabler is saying 1.  Only one injection method will work, remove one method.

but is my alc233 not want to walk

ALC233 is not supported. See Post #1, Requirements/2. Realtek ALC

Audio is very crackly.

Something is interfering with audio, likely specific to your system.  Try 2nd Line Out/Black.

I'm going to elaborate on my previous post (#302) to help people who are losing audio on wake from sleep.

Using the EAPD-Codec-Commander method, we will build a kext with Xcode, tailored to our machine.

1) Download EAPD-Codec-Commander here (click on 'download ZIP' on the right hand side)

2) Open CodecCommander-info.plist, found in the CodecCommander folder. You will have to edit this to match your configuration. The instructions are on the Github page, so I won't repeat it here.

3) Open Xcode (if you don't have it, download it from App Store). 'Open' and find CodecCommander.xcodeproj. Once the project is 'open', we can press build from the tool bar at the top.

4) Once done, a new kext file called CodecCommander.kext will be created. The file can be found somewhere along ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/... (sorry, I forgot the exact path).

5) Use Kext Utility (or other) to install the kext.

6) Done!

Hi dear coffee5 XD

I'm trying to solve the sleep problem... when I use this command in the guide "ioreg | grep EngineOutput" I get this value (see the attachment)

But I don't understand how edit the .plist :\

in the Codec Address Number i put "2" and stop?

for the Engine Output Number?

<key>Default</key>
<dict>
<key>HDEF Device Location</key>
<string>1B</string>
<key>Codec Address Number</key>
<integer>2</integer>
<key>Check Interval</key>
<integer>5000</integer>
<key>Check Infinitely</key>
<true/>
</dict>

Very new to the hackintosh scene with zero tech experience (I'm in healthcare) but was able to get my machine up and running thanks to this site.

Specs:

OSX 10.10.2 w/ clover

AsRock H97 Pro4

i7-4790 3.6 GHz

16gb RAM

GT740 Superclocked 2gb

Rosewill wifi

Iogear bluetooth module

Was able to get the audio to work but it develops a nasty lag after watching a video for 2 minutes or longer.  If I pause and restart it doesn't help. But if I start another video it is ok for another 2 minutes or so. (Although it may be lagging the entire time and just takes 2 minutes for it to be come noticeable)

Tried installing using the clover patch (option 3) and also just the patched AppleHDA (option 1) but they both have the same problem.

I've attached the patched AppleHDA, my config.plist, my audio device list, DPCI boot log, and IOREG. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

What player? What source?

config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes/FixHDA_8000/NO

NewWay_80000000/YES has been known to cause audio problems

Any player, youtube html5, other flash players, quicktime, vlc. When the delay builds up even pressing pause on the video player has a delay. AKA if the audio is behind by 1 second, the audio will continue playing for 1 second after pressing pause.  Oddly enough this doesn't happen with just audio sources (pandora, iTunes, etc).

I removed those two entries from my config.plist but to no avail.  Attached are a new IOREG and plist.

Thanks for getting back to me!

  • 2 weeks later...

For my Asus H97I-PLUS with ALC887 v100302,  Audio ID: 1,2,3 does not works with rear green plug. Only Optical and front plug.

Audio ID: 4,5,7 - works! I put 4 now, because i use only 2 channels and Optical SPDIF (front works too).

Hi everybody,

I've trouble getting sound working on my Asus Z97 Deluxe, i7 4970k, Asus Geforce 980GTX Strix.

I'm using OSX Yosemite in version 10.10.2 with latest updates and clover boot manager.

I've followed the instructions described under 3. cloverALC/Clover patched for my ALC1150.

I'm using the native AppleHDA.kext in version 269.25.

I've attached ioreg information, my config.plist, a screenshot of my audio system information, a screenshot of the console showing the kernel sound assertions and my used SSDT.aml.

I would be very glad if someone have an idea on what's going wrong.
