Hey guys!
I'm having a problem.
I installed OSX 10.10 DP1 on my Dell 7720 laptop...
Now when I'm trying to boot it using CLOVER from USB, it gets stuck at Waiting for DSMOS!!

I tried removing NVIDIA, AMD, and INTEL GPU Keats with no difference.... Error remained...
I even copied FakeSMC and other required Kexts to S/L/E in single user mode... Recreated next cache... But still got the same error...

My Caps lock works and I'm able to type in the terminal...
Also, I can see FakeSMC getting loaded....

I then updated the FakeSMC to the latest version...

Currently the FakeSMC is some version 6.9xxx..

Still same issue.

Please help!!

I have set AHCI in BIOS.. No DVDs in the drive and no plugged in USB devices while booting...

My model doesn't have a SSD...

I'm using your DSDT.... Tried without the DSDT too... But ended up with the same result :(

@lejenk I deleted all AppleIntelHD* Kexts leaving Capri frame buffer kext... Then went in single user mode and loaded all extensions..

kextload -v System/Library/Extensions/*

The system booted... But the performance is very sluggish!! I mean really sluggish... The system profiler shows Graphics as Intel HD 4000... 1024 MB (using your DSDT) but no acceleration I guess... Audio is working...

How to proceed to get the GPU working and why aren't the Kexts loading on their own?? I mean I had to force them all...!!

Any ideas??? :(

Also, for a couple of seconds when the system boots up, the screen is all distorted.... Then automatically it gets fixed...

And the System Serial number is "unavailable"

OK I DELETED THE KERNEL CACHE AND NOW THE KEXTS ARE LOADING

BUT STILL THE PERFORMANCE IS SLUGGISH BUT GPU IS DETECTED AS INTEL HD 4000!!!

AND STILL I GET A GARBAGED SCREEN BEFORE LOGIN....

Hello!

Try to edit the pinouts of FramebufferCapri for your used Platform IG. Seems to be necessary as on previous versions.

Have fun.

  • 3 months later...

I installed Mountain Lion 10.8 on my system which worked with Lejenk's DSDT and kexts as it used to work earlier...

Then I updated it to 10.8.5 using Combo update... The GPU stopped working!!

Then I decided to check upto which version the GPU works..

so i updated to:

10.8.1 : GPU worked.

10.8.2 : GPU worked.

10.8.3 : GPU Stopped working...

10.9 : GPU doesn't work

10.10: GPU doesn't work....

What happens after 10.8.3 update????

I believe Haswell CPUs are supported from 10.8.3??

Is there something I am missing??

Please help!

Currently I am running 10.8.2 with working Intel HD4000 GPU (512MB RAM)

The waiting for DSMOS was gone and I was able to boot in 10.10but with no QE/QC...

GPU was detected as Intel HD 4000 with 1024 MB VRAM..

AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext and AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext was also loaded... but no QE/QC??????

But it works with 10.8.2..!!!!!!!
