3square Posted June 10, 2014 Share Posted June 10, 2014 can anyone help me get 5.1 sound? using a patch appleHDA. optical is fine, but only 2 channels. i tried creating an aggregated output via audio midi setup. it isn't working. please. thank you. With optical 5.1, encoded digital audio is used and the speakers are connected to the receiver.
