Hello!

My Hardware:

CPU: i7 4770

Board: Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H

RAM: 16GB

VGA:  Inno3D GTX 780 Ti iChill

My Problem:

I'm a newbi and I don't know how can I install OSX 10.9.2 on my PC. Could somebody collect from You already experiences with these components? Which kexts I need?

Attempts:

Using iAtkos M2 10.8.2 for first Install, but after the installation the system is hanging. Boot with -v shows no specially errors before hanging.

Please help me

Greetings

Frank

(a) which 10.9.x are you trying first with?  10.9.2/1/0 or 10.9.3?  10.9.3 has some special issues.

(B) your Z97 (and H97s) are different that the previous gens and have issues that the community is dealing with now.

(b.1) Sound chipset, though technically the same as some previous ALC chipsets, evidently have a new vendor code, causing some issues with the exitsting drivers. (Kernel Panics) you can safely delete it. (in single user mode '-s')

(b.2) Network chipsets also have similar issues to above though generally wont' cause KP.

© have you had your gfx card working under a Hackintosh before.  If not, I recommend minimizing the greif at boot time by removing it.  Once you are up on your system (known working) you can add the GFX card back and then deal with those issues.

(d) ensure you BIOS settings are per recommended (normally: load optimized defaults, ensure AHCI is enabled and disable VT-d, at a minimum.)

Good luck.

Hello SunLizard!

Thank you for your Answer.

(a) Before 10.9.x i had an other system in my tower. :) There was an GA EP45-DS3P with an GTX260 and work very good. Network was perfect, grafic has worked with QE very good. Only sound (ALC889A) does not work so well.

now i have new components in the tower - and need other OSX. :)

(b.1) It is an ALC 1150 sound. and i don't know to change or install the needed kexts for this chip.

(b.2) Network is Intel g1000e (or e1000g? ) and was very simple to install. Use Multibe@st for it. :)

(c ) the grafic card ist very, very new. Original OSX 10.9.3 has detected it correctly as an "NVidia GTX 780" card.

But now my questions: Is QE needed in 10.9.3 too? The Vedor ID: 10DE, Device ID: 1004 SubSys: 105A10DE.

The Best was: 10.9.3 only with myHack Tool from USB Stick started and installed - and the system runs. Only Sound, Network - and full grafic  support.

Greetings

Sounds like you got your system booted.

(b.1) gooogle: quick-fix-onboard-audio-9-series-motherboards  to find a working solution for 1150 (if its not working.)

(b.1) good.

(c ) If your GFX is working correctly (try running any 3d game) there's no reason to be tweaking those settings.

Hope all is right with your system.

Thank you. It was very difficult for me to do that right. Work as Windows-Systemadministrator with some Linux-Servers in our network, but with MacOS 10.9 i haven't Experience.

It was difficult enough to get a 10.6.5 on my old system. :)

Ouch, i think it's i todo for 3 days or more. But i will try it... with your help.... :)

Hmm, other guys in online chat here tells me that QE is needed for work. I would gladly like to posttreat videos. Much, much videos from my action cam... :)

Hope all is right with your system.

Well, getting older versions of the OS is up to you.  No one here condone's illegal acquisition of old softs.  Most of us here pull the OS off our real-Macintoshes.  I have a couple of laptops and a Mini that I use to conned to the Appstore.  I use those to create the install disks I use for my mackintosh.  I use USB install so don't have any version older than 10.9.1....

Once you have a version of 10.9.x that you want to use, it only takes about 45 minutes to create an install USB and  install on a new machine.

WHile you are waiting you should decide which boot loader you wish to learn....
