Overview

I was unable to find a USB stick and didn't have any DVD media; so I got creative so I'd like to post my method of doing this via phone.

I started with Win7 and an android phone; without physical access to a mac I had to use VMWare for USB operations.

Requirements

- VMware OSX

- OSX Maverick retail

- 9+GB Internal storage or SD free space (in phone)

- Drivedroid

1 ) Create a 9GB image in Drivedroid, uncheck MBR and remove .img extension so it is blank; name it 'Mavericks' or whatever else

2 ) OS X doesn't like MTP, switch your phone to 'Camera' mode for media and mount your blank image and Disk Utility will detect it, format it once first with the usual options so things like MyHack and so on can detect it.

3 ) Run MyHack or do your preferred method of USB installation; after save the image as it is now a mountable install disk that can be used with Drivedroid another time.

4 ) Use OS X
