avin7000
Upper left corner -> Software Update Wow, I did not know it is that simple. I downloaded the update from apple site, so I guess, I can install it manually but what about kexts? do I have to reinstall them?
santol25
For me maverick is the great Operating system for mac but i have lots of problem updating mavs. but anyway i will be stick for maverick 10.9 because i really like the graphics & the design of mavs, i hope steve jobs still alive to enhance the concept of OSX 10.10 because he is the brain & mentor of Apple success. thanks

For my software configuration I did not reinstall anything. Just update. About sound: VoodooHDA+AppleHDADisabler Graphics: patch by Clover on the fly. Ethernet: RealtekR1000 which remains to be independent on the system.

Sorry for Noob question, why use AppleHDADisabler? anyway this is what I have planned. Take back up of kexts, install the update and if anything seems not working then install that particular kext.. how does that sound?
Dr. Hurt
Sorry for Noob question, why use AppleHDADisabler? Because AppleHDA interferes VoodooHDA causing occasional kernel panics.
