OS X 10.10 Yosemite unveiled

Looks like a blatant Win8 ripoff, makes me think about quitting computers leaving society and moving to a deserted island.

Or maybe we should start using Linux? It is a shame that Linux is such a mess from many points of view.  Or hope that Android-x86 becomes a viable alternative?

It looks ugly. Steve Jobs designed the original OS-X interface as skeumorphic for a reason, yosemite is just plain out flat and boring. Using a boring flat design is like going back to the 90s and 80s when computers had those flat non-skeumorphic designs.

They should at least offer us an option to use the old UI or the new (ugly) UI. A Flat 2D UI is nothing but a useless trend.

Well, ummm really? That may be true for pure text based UIs, but just take a look at those old graphical UIs ... not exactly flat and non-skeuomorphic imho

And actually, a "boring" UI is a good thing, since it then does not distract me from the more important parts on my screen. All in all, thumbs up for the Yosemite UI ;)

It isn't realistic. It should look realistic.

So it's the 'translucency' of Windows Vista + 'clarity' of Windows 8. Oh, and the square dock from Tiger is back too. How original...

Oh, and the sidebar notification-center now has gadgets 'widgets'. OS X 10.10 Vista!

What really pisses me off though is that most of the new features in Yosemite are targeted towards iOS users.

And as a strictly-Android type of person, that means this new update is just a pack of bloat that I'll never use.

I just hope all those new "features" don't hog the system resources.

And don't get me started on the transparency... JEEEZ

Seriously i don't like flat design. Much better 3D look. :)

It's too early to say something more ...

My wishes, as usual, are:

A Stable OS like a rock

A Fast OS like a rocket

A Light OS like a feather

See Ya ... i'm downloading it ...
