Hi team,

I shouldn't touch my hackintosh but...today i try to upgrade from 10.7.4(or 3) to 10.7.5 but i'm stuck on startup:

SMC : :smcReadKeyAction ERROR $Num KSMCKeyNotFound(0x84)

SMC : :smcInitHelper ERROR: MMIO RegMap == NULL - Fail to old SMC mode

Sound assertion in AppleHDAController at line 4077

error: Failed to open PCI Device

panic (cpu 4 caller ...)

Could someone help to fix it?

My config is attached

Chamelon v2.1svn r1909

Many thanks,

AT first reboot, the reboot, shut, close session did not work. I had to manually shutdown my PC

I have updated VoodooHDA-v284.zip I do see something on Preference system / Sound But nothing comes out :S

NB: after rebooting chrome, wifi card work again

EDIT: on more info, the integrated audio has nothing :(

Ok I have deleted VoodooHDA (fix and reboot) and:

- install from ##### 4.7: Drivers & Bootloaders / Drivers / Audio / Realtek ALC8XX / With DSDT / ALC889 => rebooted and then nothing on audio device

- install from ##### 4.7: Drivers & Bootloaders / Drivers / Audio / Realtek ALC8XX / Without DSDT / ALC889 => got something on audio device but the sound is still not here.

Did i do something wrong?

PS: i did not find a direct link for ALC889 AppleHDA (MACOS lion 10.7.5)

Try this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/16-applehda-for-alc889a-885/ (with dsdt injection layout 12), if doesn't work: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/124-realtek-alc889-applehda-audio/ (With HDAEnabler layout 1)

Also this: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/78-alc885-alc887-alc888-alc889-alc892-alc898/ (With layout 1)

If you don't have DSDT extract the file with this terminal command:

perl -e 'open(CMD, "ioreg -lw0 \| grep DSDT|") or die; while()
{ chomp; if($_ =~ /\"DSDT\.?\d?\"=]*)>/) { $buff = $1; open(PIP,
"|xxd -r -p > ~/Desktop/dsdt.aml") or die; print PIP "$1"; } }'

Compress and attach the file created in desktop

FInally found the fix for the audio for 10.7.5 !

rename /S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext, install this kext http://www.osx86.net/files/file/2510-bin-patched-alc889-applehda-kext-for-lion-11a444d/ with kext utility

Reboot and chose integrated sound and here we are ! :)

Now i'm worried about upgrading to Mountain Lion...Do we have a specific procedure to upgrade from 10.7.5 ? Does this guide work for a GA-X58A-UD3R?

Create new installer with the guide and good luck (try in a little partition of the hard disk or in another disk for testing, when all works well you must install in substitution of Lion)
