carbo178
Your sound works well with AppleHDA for ALC889, delete VoodooHDA and search for ALC889 AppleHDA. PS: Your system work well with Mountain Lion

carbo178
Try this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/16-applehda-for-alc889a-885/ (with dsdt injection layout 12), if doesn't work: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/124-realtek-alc889-applehda-audio/ (With HDAEnabler layout 1) Also this: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/78-alc885-alc887-alc888-alc889-alc892-alc898/ (With layout 1) If you don't have DSDT extract the file with this terminal command: perl -e 'open(CMD, "ioreg -lw0 \| grep DSDT|") or die; while(){ chomp; if($_ =~ /\"DSDT\.?\d?\"=]*)>/) { $buff = $1; open(PIP,"|xxd -r -p > ~/Desktop/dsdt.aml") or die; print PIP "$1"; } }' Compress and attach the file created in desktop
ngocvu
FInally found the fix for the audio for 10.7.5 ! rename /S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext, install this kext http://www.osx86.net/files/file/2510-bin-patched-alc889-applehda-kext-for-lion-11a444d/ with kext utility Reboot and chose integrated sound and here we are ! Now i'm worried about upgrading to Mountain Lion...Do we have a specific procedure to upgrade from 10.7.5 ? Does this guide work for a GA-X58A-UD3R? carbo178
Create new installer with the guide and good luck (try in a little partition of the hard disk or in another disk for testing, when all works well you must install in substitution of Lion)
