plasmastorm
Hi, I'm currently trying to Hackintop my Vaio PCG-71613W - it's got a Sandy Bridge i5, 6GB, 128GB SSD and seems to be working fine apart from graphics acceleration on 10.9.2 It has switchable Radeon HD 6630m and Intel HD 3000 graphics, but I can't seem to get either working. Most advice seems to be 'Pick one and disable the other in the bios and they should be natively supported' but in Sony's infinite wisdom they have stripped nearly all options out of the bios including any control of graphics cards. I can't pick one or change the amount of memory. I've used various combinations of GE=Yes/No and IGPE=Yes/No to try and enable/disable them and this is as close as I seem to be able to get (GE=No, IGPE=Yes): $ system_profiler SPDisplaysDataType Graphics/Displays: Intel HD Graphics 3000 Mobile: Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics 3000 Mobile Type: GPU Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 7 MB Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x0116 Revision ID: 0x0009 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1920 x 1080 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Unknown: Chipset Model: Unknown Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x6741 Revision ID: 0x0000 It also seems to crash out to the login screen when I choose 'About This Mac' from the Apple menu. Thanks in advance Plasma
