The weight is 10% less. Two things for the surface 3 are it's 4 thousandths of an inch thinner and 1" more display space. I can grab one of these of local craigslist for 550 bucks with a core i5 and 128 GB memory. I'd like to try and install Mac OS X but would be curious if anyone sees any hardware red flags.
