windy1976 Posted May 8, 2014 Share Posted May 8, 2014 Hello, forgive me as I'm typing this on mobile! I have mostly installed osx on my hard drive in my pc/ going to eventually be a. Dual bootable win/8.1 and os. X mavericks. i have a M5A78L-M/USB3 mobo and amd fx 4100 prossesor. my stumbling point is assigning hpet as this is not an option in my bios and this is the issue which is stopping my install opening! do you know of any work around or patch? Or would another prossesor/mobo be a better option, quite clued up on pcs and get there eventually but defo a newbie with this area. windy1976 Posted May 8, 2014 Author Share Posted May 8, 2014 ok tried the forcehpet=yes by pressing 2 to enter chameleon bootloader which came up with the niresh logo and white screen with a small box at the bottom saying boot. where i entered ForceHPET=Yes im assuming this is correct and it still has the same error. panic cpu caller 0xffffff7f8156fcc no hpets avalible...cpus configured incorrectly! any help would be much appreciated thankyou Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
