I am having issues swapping a 10.9.2 Hackintosh install HDD into an HP XW6600 workstation, with GeForce 8500 GT 512MB.

Using recent Chimera, GraphicsEnabler=Yes worked for 2 reboots, but now it just goes to black screen, with monitor showing "no signal".

I was using npci=0x2000, PCIRootUID=1 in my org.chameleon.Boot.plist, and it was working with my GTX660 2GB on a Core i5 2500.

I have removed AppleHDA and HADEnabler1, replaced with Voodoo 0.21. Using MacPro 3,1 smbios.plist.

I went to check if I could put my 8500GT card values into NVDANV50.kext info.plist, but discovered that there was no kext!! Not even an NVDANV50Hal.kext existed!!

I have some copies which I will try (off OSX86.net) from original release, or DP8, but would like to find a proper fix for this.

PS. I have the NVDANV50TeslaWeb kexts installed, and I have a Tesla card (?) in the Quadro 370 (not sure if it is an NVS). I would prefer the 8500GT as it is nearly DOUBLE the benchmarks in performance! I originally booted into the Tesla card, and it had AWFUL performance, even the 8500GT isn't that great compared with the GTX660 I am used to :)

Any ideas gratefully accepted.

PS. Sleep/Wake working perfectly on the HP - amazing.

PPS. I have some old 6600's which I can use, if you think I can, and the performance is similar?

AFAIK it should work with default settings in Clover bootloader.

{ 0x10DE0421, "GeForce 8500 GT" },

NVDANV50HAL.kext exists in 10.7.5. May be this is a last system for such card? I may say this exactly about 7300LE. It works only in 10.7.5. I am sure.

Sorry about that, the monitor is a bit iffy, and may be switching off, or back to VGA (although none is attached). A quick press of the input button, just as BIOS text is coming up fixes it permanently (until I change computers, then I have to do it again). Picked this monitor up for free, so can't really complain...
