I'm a l... o... n... g... time Mac user, and considering more affordable options for greater speed, doing mainly digital-audio work. (ProTools, Digital Performer. Maybe some iMovie/DVD-Studio Pro work too) I'm looking at a Dell OptiPlex 780 Desktop PC 3.00GHz Core 2 Duo on ebay, that I'd like to set up to run OSX 10.6.8. Good platform? Easy-enough to do? (can anyone point me to the "how-to" instructions? Are there known downsides to doing this? Any input would be welcomed.
