vamose Posted April 23, 2014 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Sleep works perfectly fine on traditional mechanical Hard drive. Upgraded to Intel SSD and now computer goes to sleep, but never wakes up. Have to do a hard reset every time. Any solution. Attached is the SSD details. Tried installing Trim Enabler - No luck. Computer sleeps - on SSD Upon wake - I can see the mouse pointer, but rest f the screen remains black. If I try to type my password in black screen pointer changes to Beach Ball. The system.log file does not give any clues related to your sleep issue AFAIK, i just had sorta the same issue here with my AsusTek HTPC, and was caused by BT OHCI/EHCI trackpad not configured correctly. But your machine at least does wake, mine went dead with fans full@100% and had to power cycle. Anyway try if you maybe can log in over ssh next time when it happens, kill the windowServer perhaps...
