S@Z! Posted April 20, 2014 Share Posted April 20, 2014 Hi, Im in a confusing situation. I own a PC running Windows 7 Pro x86 which has an MBR partitioned 250 gig HDD. I want to dual boot mac os x 10.8 and windows 7. My mobo seems to be compatible for mac as well as GPT. So how to install mac os x retail without losing any DATA. I heard about Partition Manager which safely transforms MBR to GPT safely. So after converting to GPT how can I do a Dual Boot with Chimera\Chaemeleon ???????? HUSABER Posted April 20, 2014 Share Posted April 20, 2014 You need only 3 step's(not need to get GPT): Create one partition for Mac(fat32)50GB with Windows Create Mac USB installer and get MBR patch(for your version...etc..10.8xxx) on installer Boot USB installer and go to Utilities menu..reformat your partition(Erase Fat32)and format to Mac OS Extended(Journaled) Now install Result is-500 gb HDD(Master Boot Record) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
