RobertX Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 ...well, i've missed something...as the title says, i've restored mavericks from a failing hdd to a nice new one....trouble is...it will not boot beyond the chameleon boot selection screen(gets stuck there)...to boot into win8 i have to disconnect the mac drive...so,...disk was already formatted in win8 and partition marked active... i restored mac partition to a freshly erased and formatted hfs journaled partition...disk utilty says it's bootable....attempted restart...stuck ...I'm gettin' old...
