Sorry Andy but your sources based on 2.7.0 even without Zenith432 improvements, without HDMI, Multichannel, many controllers missing.

I think you should look more carefully on sources 2.8.4

svn checkout svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/voodoohda/code/ voodoohda-code

Ok, I'll checkout those and look there.

Thanks.

Apparently I used the wrong server for checkout...

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but on 10.9.2 with ALC1150 and HD4600 i get a KP as soon as VoodooHDA tries to load.

btw does anyone else experience System Settings crash when no VoodooHDA device is found? Previous versions were letting you know that VoodooHDA didn't load properly, but this one crashes the systempref panel directly.

...well, after some testing, I've switched back to 2.8.4...for now...I have a delay from when i change volume to when i hear the system sound volume change...the control panel(voodoohda) only contains settings for hdmi audio...an earlier version also had my  Line-out (Green Rear)

...maybe a related issue...i have little or no audio input control for my webcam mic(Rocketfish HD Webcam)...the slider in sound pref. is there but has little or no affect...if i crank up my speakers i can just make out audio...this is the case on both of my builds(10.8.3/10.9.2)  :smoke:

this my audio from the midi setup utility

...i'll try those suggestions..but my output volume is ..ok..it's the input level of the microphone that concerns me...it is an issue with real macs too but maybe not related to my problem...thanks Spakk :smoke:

I've just tested,  but it did not help, so I deleted my post

have you make to changes in VoodooHDA.kext / Contents / info.plist:

change from false to true the below

    VoodooHDAEnableVolumeChangeFix key>

and if the volume is to low

    VoodooHDAEnableHalfVolumeFix key>

Try the new version.

Big thanks to Slice for updating his sources, I did some more improvements and warning fixes and stuff and built and code signed all...

Enjoy :D

Just like with 2.8.4 versions I have an instant kernel panic if playing DTS/AC3 over SPDIF. With previous build it worked.

I got this version working after replacing the .plist from a version that worked; there's no obvious setting to why it won't work with the original plist file as most are the same.

Also this version introduced the same problem as before; can't switch to my USB sound from my led cinema.

The volume settings do work properly again so overal it performs exactly the same as the 2.8.4 version I previously used.

...hmm, grabbed the last version...got my onboard audio back in prefpane...but does not load my usb webcam as an input for sound...shows in system sound...do I perhaps have to add this device to the kext as an alternative sound input?

I get the following error when the kext loads:

Controller: ATI R1000 (vendor ID: 1002, device ID: aaa0)
error: invalid CORB size: 00
error: getCapabilities failed
Seems like maybe it's not reading from the correct spot in memory? I'm trying to familiarise myself with the source, but was hoping someone might have some input on this.

nice work appreciated ,,for Kernel Panic necessary to use appleHDAdisabler.kext .(IMO) ANV need to put your installer with Binaries ..

AppleHDAdisabler  is include  on  the installer to put  AppleHDA on BackUP  , but if you install Manually   VoodooHDA   remove AppleHDA

to avoid KP   :)

It seems this read

corbSizeReg = readData8(HDAC_CORBSIZE);

is not working on the hardware and I am not sure it should.
