IntelBootCD-Clover Unable to boot from dvd/bluray drive

IntelBootCD-Clover boot clover

Best Answer Marta Reis, 01 April 2014 - 10:40 PM

I have a Macbook Pro Retina, so no problem accessing OS X.

I could reflash to the previous non-UEFI version once I have it backed up but, what's the point?

Hi guys,

I've  tried everything I could remember so far but I can't boot from the dvd drive.

Motherboard was updated to the latest UEFI version and setup for hackintosh.

I'm using IntelBootCD-Clover.iso 1.0 plus a bootable USB with Mountain Lion (plugged to usb2.0)

It doesn't matter which drive do I choose to boot from on my BIOS, it simple doesn't boot from it. Goes straight to windows :(

Any clue?

Yes I did

I suspect it could be the way it was burn, I don't know. As far as I'm concern I did it right but who knows.

I'm trying to put it all together on the same USB stick. It seems easier but I still have some doubts building the package.

As you might have conclude I want to use Clover once I have UEFI on my mobo. It seamed the best choice.

For the hackintosh I was planning to use:

  • 3 partitions on my 16GB USB (GUID Partition Table)

1- Boot 8GB

2- Hackintosh 4GB

3- Files 4GB

I have:

  • Clover v2
  • Some KEXTs files to use if necessary, specially the 'nvidia dp3' for my GTX 560 Ti
  • and the files from the build I could not use 'IntelBootCD-Clover.iso 1.0

I didn't find any guide with clear instructions on how to build everything on the usb and I have doubts.

  • Where do I install Mountain Lion?
  • Where do I install Clover and the KEXTs Files?
  • How is the boot process and installation using only the USB stick?

:hysterical:  Yeah, stupid newbie questions. Sorry guys.

Its my first hackintosh

Obrigada Artur, qualquer ajuda é bem vinda e preciosa.

You could get VMware installed on the Windows side configure from there if you don't have access to a working OS X. Getting a working OS X image for your virtual machine is as easy as a Google.

Question: Can't you just reflash to the previous UEFI version?
