Hi all ?

I'm new here, but have question.

I have installed iAtkos s3v2 (10.6.3) and after install update it to 10.6.7(use combo), after I download all kexts i need and now my pc run's perfect on 10.6.7.

But i want to update it to 10.6.8 question is how to do it, to don't miss kext's installed before and to don't have kernel panic ?

My pc:

Dell Dimension 5150

P4 2.8 ghz

4 gb ddr2

Ati Radeon hd 5450 1 GB ddr3 (full working QE/CI) (pci-i)

Audio pci cmi8736.

Lan tp-link (pci)

P.S. Can anyone tell if its possible to run 10.7+ on my pc?

Solution

1.Remove or delete "caches folder" on sytem/library
2.Run Disk Utility and click Repaired disk permissions
3.Restart or reboot
4.BackUp AppleACPIPlatform.kext & IOPCIFamily.kext on system/library/extensions folder
5.BackUp IOUSBFamily.kext & IOUSBMasstroageClass.kext on system/library/extensions folder
6.Run 10.6.8 ComboUpdate>wait to finish>Don't Restart or Reboot Computer
7.Install AppleACPIPlatform.kext, IOPCIFamily.kext, IOUSBFamily.kext & IOUSBMasstroageClass.kext (U BackUp) with "kext Utility"
