c3rberus
Hello, I have an IBM Thinkcentre 8171-vnt that I would like to install OS X 10.5.6 on. My issue is that it was a successful install until I updated, trying to get my ethernet working. The three lines before the error were: Waiting for boot volume with UUID 9CF1B174-1F09-3778-BE14-EB6645716594 Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict> Still waiting for root device The specs are as follows: CPU - Intel Pentium 4 540 CPU w/ Hyperthreading @3.20GHz RAM - 1024 Mb (2x 512 Mb @400MHz) PC3200 DDR SDRAM Chipset - Intel 915G Express HDD - 80 Gb SATA 1.5 Gb/s Storage Controller - 2x Serial ATA-150 Storage Controller 2 - ATA-100 Graphics - Intel Graphic Media Accelerator 900 (Intel 915G/915GV) Sound - SoundMAX Cadenza Ethernet - Integrated PCI Broadcom BCM5705 USB - 8x USB 2.0 Another notable error that appears a bit further up is: Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. 12AppleACPIPCI is not compatible with its superclass, 11IOPCBridge superclass changed? Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPCI. Couldn't alloc class "AppleACPIPCI" Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. mbinit: done Security auditing service present BSM auditing present From path: "uuid", Then the error above ^ All in all, I'm wondering what I can do to fix my install. I'd like advice on which components to install from the iPC 10.5.6 x86 disk like drivers and such for all my components, and a way to fix my ethernet.
