Hello everyone,

i plan to buy myself a new power supply. Since i have a Haswell (i5-4570) CPU, I was wondering if the low power states would work on my hackintosh. Otherwise, this investment would be rather senseless I guess.

Currently, I use the Intel Power Gadget in order to analyze the power consumption of my CPU. In Idle, it consummate around 44 W. In full load, it consummate around 59 W. if C6 and C7 are working, it should by much more less than 44W.

Anyway, it would be nice if someone could confirm that C6 and C7 is working.
If anyone has any experience, it would be also nice to know how high the power consumption of these states are using a hackintosh.

Thank you guys,

Timo

Ok...the strange part is, that my intel power gadget ist not working properly. That might explain my high results.
It shows a power consumption between 0,45 - and 0,55 W.

Any suggestions how i could fix this?

I am definitely using a ssdt .....

I attached i picture of my intel power gadget results, my clover configuration and my current ssdt file...

Thanks :)
