Chameleon can't see my WD Passport Essential USB hard drive

Hi,

I used Chameleon (the latest version) to install retail Mavericks to my 320GB WD Passport Essential external hard drive (from 2008, FWIW). Unfortunately, Chameleon won't show the hard drive no matter what I do (tried various BIOS settings and USB ports). There's one HFS+ partition on the drive with Mavericks, GUID table.

Using VMWare, I can boot into it fine, so I know that the install is OK at least.

Clover sees the drive fine, but even with a manually fixed DSDT (no errors with latest Intel compiler), I get "Unable to find driver for this platform ... ACPI". All extra devices have been unplugged and or disabled.

The system is a Dell XPS 420 with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Intel X38 chipset. The fact that Chameleon boots the installer just fine makes me think that it would work if I could get this one issue sorted.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Genius!! Thank you, that worked. I should have asked... 20 hours...ago.

It just booted, I'm on my desktop, and it looks like I have graphics acceleration working... Wow. I disabled all of the DSDT fixes & dropped the OEM tables (which have errors and unknown opcodes), and it's... Working.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, the page isn't found on osx86, and the video is gone. However, I found this thread on applelife.ru, which I think is it - I'll give it a shot!

If I understood correctly, it doesn't have a GUI/theme like Clover? I would like that, it seems like the default animated theme is stalling Clover sometimes.
