SAM Multimedia error means the system is having trouble reading data from your DVD. Try reburning it at the slowest speed possible and if available, use a different brand of media or a different type of media (dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd-rw, dvd+rw)

If that doesn't work, look into updating the firmware of your DVD drive.

In VMWare, if you are trying to read from an iso file instead of a DVD, it can also mean that VMWare is having trouble reading from the iso file. Use software like Daemon Tools to mount the iso as a virtual disk and have VMWare read from the virtual disk.

No biggie.

You have a SAM multimedia error. That means: Your disk is bad.

Try the following:

1. try mounting the image directly via vmware. If that does not work

2. try mounting it with daemon tools and attach it to vmware. If that dos not work

3. try burning it again, and then attach the drive to VMWare, not the image.

Do not burn it on DVD RW, we had many users in the past that had problems

installing it because they used RWs instead of -R/+R

if you do not want to install it to native via VMWare, skip 1. and 2.

// edit: ah, rammjet beats me for a sec :)
