tobitronics Posted February 17, 2014 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Hi all,I'm running a fresh hackintosh (i5-4440, Gigabyte H81M-HD3, 8GB RAM, iGPU) but my slim slotloading dvd drive is not working. It works fine under windows or when in the bios. On OS X however it shows up under the eject button up top and in the disk utility but it does nothing, it does not accept disks when I insert them. Its like the drive does not receive any power. Is this a known problem and can this be fixed?The DVD drive model is Lite-on DS-8ATSHThanks in advance! The strange thing is that when I put in the disc when in bios/booting, it accepts the disc and os x reads it correctly. I can also eject properly, however when I want to insert it back in in os x it doesn't work anymore. Isn't there some kind of setting in os x for this?
