Ninja_Harbinger
Hey guys, I just installed Niresh's version of Mavericks onto my AMD rig and it freezes ~40-50 seconds after it loads the graphics driver/screen goes into full resolution. My specs are: AMD FX-8320 ASRock 970 Extreme 4 8GB GSkill RAM AMD 7950 3GB The boot flags I use are: KernelCache=/amdfx GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 So yeah. I have only managed to get half way through the post installation setup wizard. Any questions/ideas are welcome Thanks, Ninja!
dcai777
boot with the above commands and -s. when you see the prompt: type in /sbin/mount -uw / (enter) cd /var/db/ (enter) touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone (enter) reboot (enter) now you will see a prompt for an un-existing account. now we will un-do that change. boot with the above commands and -s again. type in: /sbin/mount -uw / (enter) cd /var/db/ (enter) rm -rf .AppleSetupDone (enter) reboot (enter) and try setting up again... Ninja_Harbinger
It froze within 35 seconds this time. It may be quicker this time because I unplugged 2 USB devices. EDIT: So I booted with -x and I'm in which leads me to think that it's a kext problem. Is there any way of figuring out what's wrong from here? Ninja_Harbinger
Am I correct in thinking that I'm NOT able to update the OS? I'm on 10.9 and there's an update to 10.9.1.
Ninja_Harbinger
Okay, so I've managed to screw it up... I installed a kext, ran multi. beast and installed some programs. I then restarted and now I can't boot. I just get this: I've tried combinations of - f -F and -x in the bout flags but I can't seem to get in. Any ideas? EDIT: Fixed it. MBeast made Chameleon use the Mach_kernel.
