dsalsa Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 Anybody know the solution where you don't have to turn off one of your cores (cpus=1) every time you boot your computer or you'll get a jumpy and giggly screen. On Leopard there was a nice, simple and easy solution, unfortunately it doesn't work on Snow Leopard. I've been dealing with this issue for about 2 years now actually since I updated to Snow Leopard. One more issue not that important but I though I would throw it out there just incase. It's sound I have sound but no control to change the volume so if anyone had solution for that will be appreciated Acer Aspire 5601 AWLMi Intel Core Duo processor T2050 Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 I believe my audio is 883 P.S. It includes the lapic fix. http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/source/tree/HEAD/trunk/i386/modules/KernelPatcher Using the module is a better solution than binpatching the kernel, it's always better to leave system files untouched if possible - if Apple updates them you'll lose your modifications. dsalsa Posted February 4, 2014 Author Share Posted February 4, 2014 I installed SL via iATKOS S3 V2 which is 10.6.3 then used Software Update to update to 10.6.8 which is what I am running right now. Use retail To install OSX try: SL retail+nawcom modCd After install update for 10.6.8 via combo update(donwload from Apple website)and install that patch i gave to you to patch lapic kernel.
