I just can't follow RampageDev http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/2012/12/04/about-amd-7970-working-with-full-qe/ here. Can some1 PLEASE direct me in the right direction? I've got: i7-950 Sabertooth X58 XFX HD7870 I'll attach the (extracted) DSDT.aml for my mainboard and the IOReg. My gfx is at "PCI0/NPE3", but when I paste the "important" portion of the code provided by Rampage i get a whole lot of errors. E: I've edited the Chutoro-FB like k3nny suggested here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/249642-editing-custom-personalities-for-ati-radeon-hd45xxx/page-33?do=findComment&comment=1880319 and it booted up now (Replaced ALL). I use it with DVI only and can't say anything about the functionality of other ports. Search in \System\Library\Extensions\AMD7000Controller.kext\Contents\MacOS\AMD7000Controller for: 00040000040300000001010012040501000400000403000000010200220504020400000014020000000103000000030600080000040200000001040011020104 and replace with: 00040000040300000001010012040501000800000402000000010200110203030400000014020000000103001000020604000000140200000001040021030105 (both in hexadecimal). Make a backup just in case and rebuild the kernel cache. EDIT: I had resolution problems with Chutoro at some point, that's why I switched to Aji. Tax58uk Posted January 23, 2015 Share Posted January 23, 2015 Hi everyone. I have been trying to install Yosimite on my first Hackintosh project but I am struggling installing my graphics card. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? I have a p6t motherboard which I used a custom DSDT from from the internet for my board. All kexts for everything are installed and working apart from the graphics card, My Graphics card id a Club 3D Radeon™ HD 7870 which I have tried to patch the DSDT as well as edit the kexts before install.
