I am trying to find parts to make a mini-itx hackintosh with a quad core i5 haswell, 8GB dual channel, GTX 760 4GB and a 1tb HDD which I might later add an SSD in addition.

The problem is, I can't find a good 1150 motherboard and a mini itx power supply above 500 watts. But are there any cases that can hold a mini itx motherboard and a mini atx psu or a atx psu, while still being compact and not a huge tower?

My goal is to make a mac-mini alternative with a discrete GPU.

Fractal Design Node 304 if you would like a beast of a system with a full size GPU and up to 6HDD/SSD's. For motherboard you can use the Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe (Socket 1155) or Asus Z87I Pro (Socket 1150). Coolermaster Hyper 212 for CPU Cooling. Use the Seasonic G550 Modular power supply 80+ Gold rated. Checkout the Node 304 thread at overclock.net for lots of info and pics. Grate case i use it for a lounge gaming PC.

If you want to go smaller and use onboard graphics then something like a Wesena ITX case, external PSU power brick and ITX board like a Intel DH61AG. I run this configuration for a HTPC for a silent rig. Unfortunately it doesnt exists yet for 1150 afaik. You could always stick with ivy-bridge (1155) though.

Okay thanks, here is the components I am going to buy, are they all compatible with hackintosh?

- Seasonic G series 550 watt PSU

- Asus Z871-deluxe motherboard

- Core i5 4670K

- HyperX 8GB Kit (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 PC3-12800 CL9 DIMM Desktop Memory

- LG 14x Internal BDXL Blu-Ray Burner

- Coolermaster Hyper 212

- Snow leopard retail disk

And I am going to use my old hard drive from my current computer and the keyboard, speakers, monitor and mice so I don't think I need to buy those.
