MACaveli
My wifi card is an intel on my ASUS EEE so it has no support. Whats the best Native support WIFI card for OSX? It has to be a full size one as mine doesnt support half size mini pcie. Would the Atheros AR5BXB92 or Atheros AR5BXB112 work? Which of the two are better? dcai777
@Rampage Dev If his Eee (like mine) has a 32-bit Atom, then wouldn't the card not work in SL?
MACaveli
Yeah I have a 32-bit atom. Im not looking to spend that much of a wifi card. Thats why I was wondering about the two in my OP. I saw somewhere that it was compatible but I need some kind of confirmation before I try to buy them and they don't work.
Laberlohe
Have you considered buying a genuie apple wireless card, eg. http://www.ebay.com/itm/APPLE-AR5BXB72-AR5008-802-11N-Wireless-WiFi-Mini-PCI-E-/161200065365?pt=US_Internal_Network_Cards&hash=item258845cb55 or a similar one out of an apple tv? I never thought about that. Do you know how many MBPS is the one you linked? yours seem to be ended. Would this one work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-MacBook-Pro-15-A1226-WIFI-Wireless-Airport-Card-020-5340-A-AR5BXB72-/301070325776?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4619309810
Laberlohe
Afaik are all AR5BXB72-based airport adapter capable of 300Mbps - but they can only handle the 2,4-GHz-band. Unless you don't have a bios with whitelisted wireless cards (like many ThinkPads) you can use any genuie Airport Extreme card .
MACaveli
I have a question regarding the wires. I have only 2 wires that connect to my WIFI card but the AR5BXB72 has 3 holes at the top. Would it still work with only two wires?
