ainygma
I successfuly installed OS X 10.7.2 by iAktos L2 onto a Dell Precision 390 with all hardware running in 64-bit mode. Installation method was DVD. The Hardware: Intel Xeon 3040 Dual Core 1.8 Ghz(Equivalent to a Core 2 Duo E6300) *Motherboard will support upto Core 2 Extreme with 4MB cache 1066Mhz as listed on Dell's website 4 GB 667Mhz DDR2 ECC Ram DVD-ROM IDE Drive DVD-RW IDE Drive EVGA Geforce 8400 GS 512 MB Ram *Used driver from here http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1724-evga-8400-gs-1gb-ddr3/ *Follow instructions in the link. Do not check any enabler on install of Lion Broadcomm BCM 5754 Gigabit Network Card *Use driver from here http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1387-broadcom-5752-x86-64-i386/ Sigmatel 9200 HDA Integrated Sound *Use the latest VoodooHDA kext found here http://www.osx86.net/files/file/1194-voodoohda-2-8-4-pkg-installer/ *Be sure to delete or rename AppleHDA.kext Barracuda 250 GB Sata Hard Drive *Chasis Supports 4 750 GB Sata Hard Drives Adaptec Firewire PCI Card *Removed due to kernel panic *2004 is the manufacture date on card. Too old to be supported by OXS Lion 10.7.2 Be sure to install the kext with champlist and rebuild permissions with the kext utility. On installation of Lion I did not pick anything special from the default items already selected on installation except AHCI/SATA..I chose SATA/IDE instead because I kept getting kernel panic on AHCH/SATA choice. Did not chose the USB fix because all usb ports work out of box. On installation do not select any ethernet patch or audio patch. Install the kext listed above post install through champlist. Getting QE/CI from the video card and in 64-bit mode. All DVI connectors and the HDMI connector works perfectly. However I did not test the HDMI connector to see if sound is passed through the HDMI connection. I assume it does not work. Front audio and back audio ports work perfectly. All software installed by default with Lion works fine with no crashes. See the list below of other software installed successfully and works with no crashes. Apple Final Cut Pro 7 Adobe Acrobat Reader Adobe CS6 Master Collection Adobe AIR Adobe Flash Player Adobe Shockwave Player DivX VideoLan Autodesk Maya 2014+ Autodesk Smoke 2013+ NewTek Lightwave 11.5 +I could not get Maya or Smoke to load except as root user, but that may be just a permissions problem. On update I did not select the combo update. I selected all other updates and installed fine. On reboot worked flawlessly. My next project will be getting my Dell Precision T5400 running Lion 10.7.2. Thanks for looking. To get a Wifi card I suggest the D-Link DWA-556 because according to HCL 10.7.2 it works OOB.
