verrwirung
Hi Guys, Been searching all around the internet but haven't found a single thing about this little bugger. so...is there anyway Razer Edge Pro, windows 8 tablet, can be installed with Hackintosh? has anyone ever tried it here? trying it with the guide for Surface Pro but after creating the bootable USB drive, it's not booting any bootloader... Thanks...
JCsHands
Do you have one now or looking to buy one? It looks like people have been able to install different linux distros on it. based on the stats I would imagine it would boot, but I have no idea what would be compatible. If you have it already, give it a try.
verrwirung
Yup...have 1 already...and tried all the guides that can be found in the internet ( i mean guides for surface pro coz they almost have the same specs)...but nothing works... I can't even see the bootloader I managed to create a Mavericks bootloader before by using *other method (sorry mods), it will boot the bootloader then crash or i don;t know what's happening coz it's just black screen... if anyone can point me to something or can give me something so i can try it with my own tablet. thanks! verrwirung
Hey guys! managed to install Mavericks on my Razer Edge Pro...however, there's a slight problem, I can't boot it. I can only boot it using a usb bootloader. does anyone knows how I can do a dual boot on this thing? i installed the os x on a partition drive where the win 8 resides. verrwirung
thanks for the reply guys @artur-pt : i might look into it... @pimentelx86: i already installed Mavericks here's what i did.. my tablet already has a windows 8 pre-installed. I created a small partition on the SSD HDD for the OS X ( around 80GB ). I then installed the OS X Mavericks on that partition, installed smoothly, but can't boot itself. I have to install a clover bootloader on a USB pendrive so I can select the partition where I installed the OS X. it was working but I can't actually keep the usb pendrive always hanging on the side of my tablet. I read somewhere that in order to dual boot win 8 and os x mav, I need to install mav first then win 8, because of the EFI thingy, which I really don't understand that much. So the real question here would be, "Anyone here knows how to fix EFI boot file on windows manually? so i can add the OS X partition on the windows boot manager" Once I complete this project, of course with the help from this forum, I'm planning to post a guide coz as I've been searching before, I couldn't find anything who has dared try to do this on their tablet, and I want to help them. Thanks in Advance!
verrwirung
UPDATE: ALMOST THERE!!! wooohooo!! but still facing some problems...I now manage to boot from Clover Bootloader but strange thing happens. From what i've read from google-ing, clover bootloader has a user interface..but mine, shows only blue screen with words to choose...and when I choose "Boot MAC OS X from DRIVE" it will boot my Mavericks OS X.....BUT.........after a few seconds, the grey apple logo will disappear and changed by a "NO ENTRY" logo...now, I'm lost....... verrwirung
UPDATE: again...almost there! managed to install the clover bootloader with proper themes... now my problem is still the booting of MAC OS X... I went to clover options and type some boot flags in the Boot Args section: GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1 npci=0x2000 darkwake=0 -v -x this is actually what worked for me to show up the mac os x installer before, so i decided to give it a try... it didn't show me the "no entry" sign and shows me all the kexts loading up... now the problem was, it is showing me garbled/distorted screen.. i know it has to do with the videocard drivers, which I have no idea how to install...HELP please... I'm a noob when it comes to MAC so if someone can help me, would gladly appreciate it... THANKS!
