Ice1602
Hello, I'm trying to install Mavericks on my Phenom II 955BE, GIGABYTE GA-785GMT-USB3 (USB 3.0). I've built a usb disk for Mavericks with myHack and the latest BSA kernel. It boots up to the message in the attached image where it hangs. I never had this issue installing ML, the same procedure, it works every time on my machine.
tragediana150
Maybe create the Installer again or use another Mavericks.dmg image file. Try -f -x, maybe that help a little.
Ice1602
I'm on -v -f -x npci=0x3000 ahcidisk=1 debug=8.
tragediana150
Phenom II X4 955 has 3.2Ghz in standard clock. Maybe try to not overclock your processor. OSX hate overclocking
Ice1602
I know, I already tried that, same result. It's really bugging me.
tragediana150
You need to wait for someone who can help you because I am not a specialist On your picture I can see that the hfs is mounted, maybe wait about 15-20min and see what's happen next? I remember that I needed to wait about 10minutes to load the Installer. What kexts is in your Extra folder?
Ice1602
Yeah, I have another installation on a different drive, that's what you see in the image. I've tried with that drive disconnected but it's the same result. I've waited for about 30 mins once nothing happened, just the other drive went to sleep(I could see the message in the log). Ice1602
I managed to install Mavericks. I used the latest kernel, removed my secondary display, added PCIRootUID=1 to chameleon and it worked. I don't know exactly which one of these did the trick but it worked. The kernel I used was http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281450-mavericks-kernel-testing-on-amd-formerly-mountain-lion-kernel-testing-on-amd/page-264?do=findComment&comment=1984335
tragediana150
The trick was that you removed dual display (You didn't write it before thath you hava 2monitors...). PCIRootUID=1 also did the job because show the place where is PCI on Gigabyte Mobo. To enable dual display you need to GE=No and no PCIRootUID flag on start. If it doesn't work, try to edit your APGM.kext and add your Vendor and Device ID or try to use Graphics Kext from Mavericks DP8.

tragediana150
I am glad to hear that So if your hack working good, and every component works good you can add this specification to "working build" on this forum And mark this thread as "solved" if you can
