How can I fix mouse scrolling, battery info and iMessage/Maps in Vmware player on Dell notebook.

I have a Dell XPS notebook and I am running VMware Player 6.0.0 build 1295980. I installed using a tutorial from this site, using the InstallESD.iso image I created from my mac at home (Downloaded 10.8, upgraded to 10.9.1 through App store).

I am really only having 3 issues with my install, I have tried to search here and on Google and haven't had much luck with things.

Issue 1: How can I get my trackpad to recognize gestures? If I use two fingers to swipe down in my Windows 7 host, it will scroll down. But when I try that on any VM, nothing happens.

Issue 2: How can I get OS X to recognize I have a laptop and show the battery level. I enabled the setting "Report Battery information to Guest", but that does not show anything. It works perfectly on my Windows 8 virtual machines.

Issue 3: iMessage and Maps do not work. Any apps that require those frameworks (For example, iPhoto or iMovie) crash upon starting up. Facetime does not detect my integrated webcam, but that doesn't matter to me as i'll never use it.  I did download Chameleon Wizard to get a somewhat official looking serial number to put in the <VMname>.vmx file, but I have "OS X.vmxf" and whenever I try to modify that file in notepad, it makes my VM not able to boot. I have added the serial number and others, but it caused the VM not to boot and when I removed those lines, the VM did not boot up then.

Issue 1 - there is no support for the trackpad in VMware currently.

Issue 2 - all virtualization products disable power management for OS X guests for stability purposes. You won't be able to get the battery status.

Issue 3 - You need to edit the vmx file not the vmxf file to change the board id etc. Also Maps does not render maybe because it uses QE/CI to draw the map.

Thank you very much, I cant believe I forgot to view the file type for that file. I found it and at first thought it was a typo as I saw the .vmxf file but no .vmx.

The guide I was now able to follow did allow me to put in a somewhat official serial number and product name, but iMessage fails. I heard that Maps also has an authorization check with Apple and that may be why my maps isn't loading. I figure if I can get iMessage to work, then Maps may work also.
