Acaro
hi, i have a hp dv6 2180el. Mavericks works fine but the Geekbench, compared to that of Windows8 in another partition is too low. Here you can find the dsdt that I uploaded on my /Extra folder. Could you give me some suggestions? I also downloaded other dsdt for other dv6, but the hardware changes a lot from model to model ... thanks
styrian
Is your powermanagment fully working or have you installed nullcpupowermanagement or an universal Hacking.kext like MyHack.kext? Have fun.
Acaro
I have patched the kext applecpupowermanagement with the file "aicpmp", found in another forum. But the benchmark rate it's the same. The nullcpupowermanagement it's the original. Sleep and restart works... sorry for my english. Here if you want, can find other info about my hp:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294557-hp-pavilion-dv6-2180el-a-geekbench-low-and-solutions/ thank you for your answer
styrian
You have to get pm working and put nullcpupowermanagement to trash to enable your cpu for reaching the turbostates. Have fun.

I have trash nullcpupowermanagement and the mac goes in freeze runnung the geekbench. Any suggestion?
artur_pt
hello u don't need to patch the appleintelcpupowermanagement u have a cpu 1ª generation what u need beside of reading.. is a proper patched dsdt .. and enable c and p-states good hack
Acaro
thanks for the reply. I'm reading a lot, but for me it is very difficult without a guide to understand exactly what to do. you can advise me where to find information on how to patch my dsdt? Can i post here post my dsdt? Now I am looking on google what it means to c and p-states. thanks again i have find this patch: http://olarila.com/Packs/HP/DV6%20Core%20i%20Nehalem.txt... i hope that i can post this link... can i use this method? http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=
artur_pt
hello yes u can and u can post here u clean dsdt to see and try to patch good hack
Acaro
After the patch my system it's more or less fast as first. Now, will try to enable c and p-states... Ah, another thing: it's normal that, after the dsdt patch, the benchmark rating remain the same? "To activate P-States generation add "GeneratePStates"="Yes" option into boot.plist. To activate C-States generation add "GenerateCStates"="Yes" option into boot.plist. Those features are not activated by default!", right? thank You! :-) Ok, after the patches and the c and p states flags my geekbench it's exactli the same: 2350... any suggestion? patched dsdt.zip DV6 Nehalem GENERIC patch.zip original dsdt.zip
artur_pt
hello try this one DSDT.aml.zip just remove nullcpupowermanagement.kext and enable the p and c-states good hack
Acaro
:-) Thank you for your patience and your help. I tried your patch but the Geekbench is the same. I'm adding the flags GenerateCStates=Yes GeneratePStates=Yes at boot time. I don't have put them in Boot.plist. One more thing. I just upgraded the upload of my original dsdt. What was there before was a dsdt old, which I used until yesterday. I have removed the dsdt from the "Extra folder", reboot and used "DSDT Editor" to extract the clean dsdt. my hacking proceeds with difficulty! ... but I am confident :-) ok, this is my boot.plist: <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>darkwake=0 cpus=1</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>1</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>LoginToLion</string>
