##### does nothing with the DSDT... Did you copy it manually to /Extra ?

If not, you should be using UserDSDT in #####.

Meaning NIC is OK, and recognized by the RTL81xx kext (which the latest ##### versions use).

Please post in http://www.tonymacx86.com/ for follow-up.

Thanks,

Lnx2Mac

Will do, thanks.

Can somebody help me? Sometimes bonjour stops working. My macbook doest see printer that connect to hacintosh PC, soft like Things doesnt see iPhone etc. I go to network prefs and turn off iPv6 and then turn back - auto mode. It helps for a time. Internet and LAN works perfect.

This worked fine for my system with Mac OSX 10.6.3 (worked both for kext patched system and DSTD patched system)

terminal window -> go to the dir where it is installed type

sh installrelease

(give admin pass)

got an error saying that it was not installed properly and |I have to reinstall it

however all worked fine after a reset

Thank you ! ;)

Does RTL8111E support Auto MDIX?

I have GA P55A-UD3 mobo with this chip, and it's running fine with Lnx2mac's driver (cheers bro!), but,

I've gotten so used to using modern real Mac 'puters which can be plugged back to back or to other devices without worrying about a hub or crossover cable, and this 8111 won't do that.

Realtek have a "features" sheet http://www.realtek.com/products/productsVi...&ProdID=239 which it claims can slice. dice, and serve 37 flavors of hot and cold beverages, but it doesn't say outright "Yes it does AutoMDIX", unless it's a hidden feature in one of those IEEE specs. Or a feature that isn't activated (yet) by this driver?

RTGNIC 2.0.6 seems to be posted. http://218.210.127.131/downloads/downloads...p;GetDown=false

KPs randomly once in a while on 64 bit mode for me.

Otherwise, no issues with sleep and WOL for me afaik

Was getting KP with MobileMe WAN access using 2.0.5 (LAN was OK.) and no WOL with Lnx2mac driver.

Been using 2.0.6 for 10.6 for the last 3 days and all appears good !

Keep-um coming Realtek!

For Lion 10.7 on GigaByte mobo: if RealtekRTL81xx.kext doesn't for or work only if a cable was connected, you need to disable "Green Lan" in Bios Setup under Integrated Peripherals...

Now works great!!!

With SnowLeopard i could use my onboard 8111C LAN with Apples kext. With Lion i had to use a extra kext for LAN. SnowLeopards LAN kext worked perfectly for me, even WOL did work fine.

Under Lion, the onboard LAN isn't recognized anymore. Does anyone know why?

Is it possible to force the Apple kext to recognize the onboard LAN? I guess some plist hacking is necessary?

Hi guys

I have some strange behavior with my RTL8111E on the new B3 MSI P67A-GD65 mobo. For B2 version Lnx2mac's driver (many thanks to him) was perfect. After upgrade I'm using the official one I can use internet, but Mail.app can't connect to the server. I have to put the computer on Sleep and come back to allow Mail.app to connect properly.

Any idea ?

Thanks

Best kext for me (8111D) is this one: RealtekRTL8111.kext

(I replaced old 0.9.9 RealtekRTL81xx.kext inside IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins) with this one !

Changelog
---------

Version 1.1.3 (2013-11-29):
- Improved transmit queue handling made it possible to reduce CPU load during packet transmission.
- Improved deadlock detection logic in order to avoid false positives due to lost interrupts.
