Lole93
Hi. I created a bootable usb with retail ML 10.8.2 with myHack. I booted in the osx installation wizzard but when I opened DIsk Utility I was able to see only the usb drive listed. My 1tb HDD was not listed at all. Here my Desktop specs: Asus Desktop (CG8250) (UEFI) CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.20Ghz RAM: DDR3 8GB HDD: Toshiba 1TB (GPT) GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX550 ti Set to AHCI
styrian
Npci value could be set wrong. Try to set at bootpromt flag npci=0x2000 or 1000. But I suggest to do a vanilla install in a way, like discribed here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/ Have fun.
Lole93
thank you! I' ll try to create a new usb stick using that guide. Since that guide is both for ML and Mavericks, what version do you suggest me to install in my desktop (depending on the specifications i listed before)? According to that guide I should install chamaleon. Will it work on an UEFI system? I read something about clover but in that guide it isn't mentioned... styrian
I personally would try to make at first a common install with Chameleon or Enoch bootloader. Later on you can switch your install to UEFI by creating a Clover usb stick and do your UEFI configuration. If everything is working smooth, you can install Clover to your hd and copy over it´s config files. Your specs are good for installing 10 8.5 and as well 10 9. It is depending on your taste. If there are no patched native kexts for 10 9, most of the patched kexts of 10 8.5 are working. You can use for making your installer this tool: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/11-pandoraapp/ Links for more infos and a guide for using this tool, you can find on the linked page. Have fun.
