It's a "new" build, never used that mobo in the past.

If there are problems i can use a USB sound card and solve all audio issues :)

this Revision Id: 0x100101, not working using AppleHDA,

My suggestion, use VoodooHDA or use a USB sound card.

Hi Mirone,

I have updated to Yosemite 10.10.5 from Mavericks recently and similarly reinstalled your patched AppleHDA kexts. With the update everything seems to be working fine, except for the microphone/audio input to the laptop. My audio codec is Realtek ALC663, and I have tried both versions of your kexts with no success. I would greatly appreciate it if you could look over my files and help me fix my audio input/output, thanks!

My files are attached (linked) below:

IOREG: https://dl.dropboxus...ook/IOREG.ioreg

DSDT: https://dl.dropboxus...seline/DSDT.aml

codec dump: https://dl.dropboxus.../codec_dump.txt

config (Clover): https://dl.dropboxus...ne/config.plist

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi!

I've read your guide and patched applehda by myself and it does work with my speaker on 10.11.0. However, my headphone doesn't work. I tried many times  :(...

Help me please.

My laptop is Alienware M17x made in 2014.

Here are my files which contain two copy of applehda. One is origin and the other is patched.

Hi iDeepak,

Unfortunately the kext and DSDT you provided did not work. The audio device could not be found, so neither sound nor mic input was working. Can you take a second look?

Things I tried:

1) The audio layout ID that you changed in the DSDT was layout 4. Did you intend it to be layout 3? However, I changed it back to 3 and it still did not work - no audio device.

2) I tried your new AppleHDA kext with my old DSDT and it still did not work - no audio device.

3) I tried my old AppleHDA kext with your new DSDT and the audio device was found again. Sound worked, but the mic input still does not.

This leads me to believe that there is still an issue with the AppleHDA kext patching. I have attached the troubleshooting files you requested in your readme (system_profiler, ioreg, Clover config, and kextstat). To clarify, these files are for my system using your new DSDT and new AppleHDA kext. Can you help me? Thanks in advance. I have also attached my old kext for comparison.

4 files: https://dl.dropboxus...agwu_files1.zip

old AppleHDA: https://dl.dropboxus...pleHDA.kext.zip

Thanks,

cmbagwu

Hi iDeepak,

Unfortunately your new kext still did not work. I followed your README and made sure I injected the correct layout ID for 4 different kexts. None of them worked, could not find audio device at all (no input or output).

I don't know what to do now -- can you help?

Thanks,

cmbagwu

Edit: Just so you're aware, the layout IDs are being set in the DSDT (I think). I am not using Clover to inject the audio layout IDs.
