Hello!

I have a GA-Z87M-D3H running OS X 10.9 build 13A603.

I also have a MacPro5,1 SMBios (attached) generated using Chameleon Wizard and some settings in my org.chameleon.Boot.plist (also attached, in the same .zip).

My problem is that when I click 'Apple Menu' - 'About This Mac' - 'More Info...' I am greeted with some incorrect info (see attached screenshot).

I can see some of the following being issues:

  • Is my boot loader maybe not loading the SMBios file?
  • Do i need to edit /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist?

What can I do to get correct info shown? (without editing anything in ~/Library)

Thanks in advance!

Processor clock is correct.
Memory is correct.

Graphics card is correct.

Software is correct.

Picture is correct.

iMac is incorrect. Expected result i Mac Pro (MacPro5,1)

Summer 2001 is incorrect. Expected result is somewhere 2009 or above.

I am unsure if this issue is only "cosmetic" or if it affects performance. Is the SMBios.plist loaded at all?

Thanks, it solved the issue partially. The only thing missing is the picture now.

EDIT: Working now. I do not know why. Maybe a few reboots fixed it?

I removed the following lines from my smbios.plist:

<key>SMBIOS</key>
<string>smbios.plist</string>
It restored the correct system profile instead of the "iMac Summer 2001/SOMESRLNUMBER" model.
