goldenboy6392
When I try to install Mavericks onto my system, it always automatically restarts after flashing the install screen for about half a second. I have tried using -x -f -v and a lot of combinations of various flags. When using -v, I do not see any errors, although its going pretty fast, and the last thing shown is "Starting Darwin x86_64" and it just reboots itself. Nothing I have tried is able to get me into the installer. It always restarts itself before. My Specs are as follows: Cpu: Intel 4670k Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 Graphics: EVGA GTX 760 Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Concha
I just managed to fix this problem! It turns out I was using an outdated version of Chameleon Bootloader Downloading and installing this version fixed the problem: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/261-chameleon-2-2svn-r2258/

RehabMan
So I was able to get to the install screen using -f, and was able to install completely, but now Im not able to get into the system. It still reboots at the apple logo. After installation, you need to place the same kernel on your HDD in /mach_kernel.
goldenboy6392
I got it working, thanks to you RehabMan. The only problem now is that my Killer ethernet has no support and I have no idea if my wificard is supported at all. Also, it doesn't recognize my 760. Do I just install the Nvidia drivers for that? I have no experience w/ discrete cards, but I believe your nvidia is supported (GraphicsEnabler=No). WiFi depends on the specifics.
goldenboy6392
Yeah I just had to install the CUDA drivers. My card is a rtl8192ce but there are no osx drivers for it, only linux. I did end up finding this http://www.osx86.net/files/file/326-realtek8188-8192ce-se-de-linux-mac/ however its uncompiled and I don't have access to a linux system in order to compile it. You should be able to compile it on a mac if you have Xcode/GCC installed. The linux compiling process ( ./configure, make, make install) is exactly the same on a mac with gcc installed. This page might have useful information for you if you're interested in trying that: http://hpc.sourceforge.net
goldenboy6392
Yeah I just get this error when trying to compile: make: *** /lib/modules/13.0.0/build: No such file or directory. Stop. make: *** [all] Error
