JahStories
this is a little guide, but it's in italian, you can google translate it http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283879-installazione-mountain-lion-1082-su-asus-p5k3-wifi-deluxe/ But btw if that doesn't help do the steps that i can suggest to anyone attempting to make an hackintosh: search a topic about installing osx for your mobo, or eventually, try a general installation guide. (based on usb installation) then after the installation is succeeded you have to check again another topic about enabling your graphic card then if the graphic works you can try to fix other things. PGHammer21B
ASUS P5G41-M LX2/GB has run every Intel-based OS X from Snow to now Yosemite DP1. Started doing the Hack Dance when the core CPU in it was an Intel Celeron DC E3400. (Yes - you read that correctly; remember, the Celeron DC E3xxx were cut-down Wolfdale Core 2 Duos. Unlike the Conroe-based Celeron Dual-Cores they supplanted, they kept Intel VT-x, which meant you could actually run Parallels - or vmWare Fusion, for that matter - on a Hack.) The same motherboard now has a Q6600 (original Core 2 Quad) - the non-Xeon version of the same CPU in the first Intel-driven Mac Pro; the GPU is an nVidia GTX550Ti, while the RAM is at 4 GB (the practical ceiling for DDR2 of the motherboard itself) and I'm typing this from Yosemite DP1 (which replaced Mavericks in the Hack rotation). So not only "yes" - but HECK yes.

natgab
GIGABYTE GA-G41M-ES2L (775) Micro ATX motherboard here, I started with Snow Leopard and now running Mavericks. Installers used: IPC Leopard 10.5.6 bootable disc, just to get Mac OS X to set up Snow Leopard install. Snow Leopard was Stella Rola, using the LifeHacker tutorial which also had the parts list I used as a start. Lion was Kakewalk, skipped Mtn. Lion, and Mavericks (and probably Yosemite) was myHack. I have to say that if all I had on it was Snow Leopard with Stella Rola, it would probably be as rock solid as a real Mac. Best combo of OS and installer. My Hackintosh was built ( Jan 2010 ) from the start as a Hack, so everything was already proven to work. See signature for my specific hardware. Still need a SSD for boot drive and a new larger drive for data and I should still be good beyond Yosemite! Just want to let people know these boards are still good, you might have one in a Windows build gathering dust. Great way to get started Hackintoshing.
