zaq123
Just a liitle history: This card did not work in Lion without modifying the plist in NVDANV50HAL.KEXT from 05de010e to 05dea10e. i got only a partial screen the way a screen comes up when you first boot. In Snow Lion and Mountain Lion it worked natively. Now: It is back to the way it was in lion but much worse. shows only 3mb of memory. There does not seem to be a plist with card identifiers in it it that I can find. The thing is when I boot using verbose, I see the card go by with the correct name and memory. i also get an error that nvdresman.kest did not load properly. Any help with getting it to work or/and finding the plist would be appreciated. I also tried installing the drivers from nvidias website but it wont install. Says the card is already supported. rlf
I think the device id is handled by NVDAStartup.kext, but it is set to accept all Nvidia device id's. Sounds like your problem is NVDAResman.kext. You need it to load correctly. Use something like Kext Wizard to reinstall the kext and then to repair permissions and redo the cache. RAB1ZNAZ
That graphics enabler part I understood but the part where "rlf" said that: "Sounds like your problem is NVDAResman.kext. You need it to load correctly. Use something like Kext Wizard to reinstall the kext and then to repair permissions and redo the cache." That's the part I don't get it exactly. How do I load it correctly and do I need to download it from somewhere and then install it with Kext Wizard. Haven't found good tutorial for this part. I installed Niresh 10.9 Mavericks to my pc. Gringo Vermelho
NVDAResman.kext is part of the Nvidia drivers and therefore you already have it (if you didn't have it you would not see an error message saying that it isn't loading properly) You have to figure out why it isn't loading. RAB1ZNAZ
Okay I managed to get the system recognise my Nvidia GTX 260 by downloading NVENABLER and adding it by Kext Utility. But there is still problems with my display. It is still showing the resolution as 1024x768 even though it should be capable running 1980x1080 has anyone had a similar problems. Also there is still problems with my audio and I haven't managed to solve that yet and my Safari flickers in certain webpages. If anyone could point me in right direction I would appreciate it. Also thx for those who helped previously. Mys specs are AMD Phenom II x4 3ghz Asus Crosshair II Formula Nvidia GTX 260 (in Sli so two GPUs) and 8gb ram Update: In the end I didn't manage to get flicker away from safari and neither the blue/white stripes away from chess. Had certainly problems with qe/ci in the graphic card side. So I was able to install OS X 10.9.0 on to my pc build but didn't get qe/ci work right in the end. So I moved on from AMD processor to Intel processors.
