.Hi all

i´m a mac user, i have a mac mini with ML running well..

but i don´t have knowledge about hackintosh, my friend wants to install Niresh on its laptop Samsung Ultrabook Series 5 Ultra...

well, we have installed it successfully, but it won´t recognize keyboard and trackpad... osx only works with usb keyb and mouse...

how can i fix it??..  as you can see, is not a good idea to carry usb keyb and mouse everywhere you want to go with your laptoc :)

Thank you!!

You need to know the device Id and vendor Id. (Apple ist using usb for internal keyboard and trackpad. On pc laptops they are usually PS2 devices.) Then you tray to find a working PS2 device kext like in the links bellow.

For Elan you can try this one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/14-elan-touchpad-kext/

For Synaptic, perhaps also Alps, you can try this one: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Voodoo-PS2-Controller

For Alps you could get this one: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1937

Install one of them with your preferred kext utility and repair permissons.

Have fun.

thank you!...

i really don´t have idea how to apply them...

but before study ... i would like to ask you if re-install the distro on the laptop, is there any chance to get ps2 keyb and trackpad to turn on?...

i remember on Iatkos installation, user was been able to configure distro for the pc.... i can imagine it is the same for niresh.. what do you think?

(i mean, before start installation of niresh, i could enable the support for ps2 trackpad and key)..

It should work without reinstalling the distro. You can get this kext utility from here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/253395-kext-wizard-easy-to-use-kext-installer-and-more/

Unzip it and run it. Chose installation and drop the kext, that you want to install, on the install window. Then click on the service icon and activate the optionbox S/L/E to repair permissons and rebuild the cache. Reboot and set flags -f -v at Chameleon boot promt. You should try at first the Elan archive. If I am right, Samsung Serie 3 has an Elan touchpad.

Have fun.
