superbuild Posted October 20, 2013 Share Posted October 20, 2013 I was using RamageDev's guide to use MyHack to install Mountain Lion 10.8.5 OS and it was successfully installed but now, I received this error on my bootup screen which I have no idea what it is. Install the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext or a patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext or remove (and save) the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was using various guide to use MyHack to install Mountain Lion on a Dell Dimension E520 and it was successfully installed. The first boot I run it in "safe mode" because I could not start normally. I installed the required kexts and now I get this error. I no longer start it using safe mode and even the single-user mode. What can I do? rlf Posted October 27, 2013 Share Posted October 27, 2013 One of the "required kexts" that you installed was FakeSMC.kext. Inside that kext are some plugins that provide sensor information - temperatures, fan speeds, etc. Good information, but not essential for your hackintosh. Take the FakeSMC.kext that you installed and open it (right-click and select "Show Package Contents"). Open the Contents folder and find the Plugins folder. Drag that folder to the Trash. Now, reinstall OSX to your hard drive and when you install the "required kexts", make sure to use your modified FakeSMC.kext. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
