The Installation failed (update to 10.8.5)

Hi Bros!

New day and... New problem!

 

To able my hackintosh to install xcode 5, need to update my notebook from 10.8.3 to 10.8.5.

 

I've downloaded the 10.8.5 combo update, run the OSXUpdCombo10.8.5.pkg and, after the installation complete, show my this error "The Installation failed".

 

 

Before reboot notebook, i've save the install.log and this is the result:

The installer completed installation and then tried to rebuild the kextcache.  It ran into two problems.

 

The Info.plist inside AppleTyMCEDriver.kext is missing.  The 10.8.5 update does not affect this kext, so it has been broken for a while.

 

The Atheros wireless kext appears to be obsolete.  Did you install a special wireless kext for your wifi?

 

I would suggest removing the two kexts and rebuilding your kextcache.  Then you will be able to boot to the Desktop and work on fixing your wireless and AppleTyMCEDriver.kext.

 

Drag the AppleTyMCEDriver.kext to the Desktop and then delete the one in /S/L/E

 

Drag the IO80211Family.kext to the Desktop and then delete the one in /S/L/E

 

Open Terminal and execute the following two commands:

sudo kextcache -system-caches
sudo kextcache -update-volume / -Installer

Then you can reboot

This two kext are for ethernet and wireles and yes, i've replace the originals with that. In OSX 10.8.3 working great booth.

AppleTyMCEDriver.kext is not for ethernet.  It is for the SMC system.  Most people can run just fine without it.  If you want to replace the kext, since the 10.8.5 combo update doesn't touch it, it means that it was installed with the original 10.8. installation.  You can extract a good one from that.

 

kextcache says the the Atheros kext inside IO80211Family.kext is obsolete.  You will have to find a new one or try to install yours again.

 

I stand by my previous advice.  Remove both kexts, rebuild the kextcache using the two commands, reboot to the Desktop and then deal with the problems.

Today, after reboot i've got another time this error

I don't change any kext! I only trining to connect on my office router and adjuste settings of wifi on network settings... Ad after reboot... BOOM!
:(

 

1. I've tried to run with -x but nothing...

2. I've tried to repair permission with my bootable usb but nothing, still not booting...

What appened?
Anyone can help me with my notebook? :(

 

EDIT:

Don't know why but, after repair permission i've try to use "kextcache -system-caches" command on -s and my hackintosh boot.

Try immediately to reboot and he is died another time!

 

It's impossibile to undrestand why won't boot... :(

 

Ok, i've change my office rputer password from wpa2 to wep and then my hackintosh boot normally.

 

I don't undestrand anything, but now it's work!
