TAFKAS
Hi guys, after a dozen failed installations, I finally managed to upgrade my SnowLeo Hack to Lion thanks to iAtkos L2 DVD. One kext at the time and all is working, as you can see from my signature: Dual monitor, all USBs, internal audio, ethernet, esata connector etc. The only blemish on this near-perfect installation is the infamous sleep mode. I've googled a lot but, with no success, to find a way to make sleep work. Before I stop trying, I would like to know, from the smartest guy on the web, if someone has got a solution for this. Thanks in advance for any kind answer. Have a nice day TAFKAS
freeuser16
Correct sleep depends on many things. What exactly is not working? Not sleeping at all / waking instantly or something else?
bbeepp
Find user Scrax. He has a very good guide for this board. Another issue is that you used itakos which is user frendly but not Vanilla frendly You should start over and use clean installation disk from Apple. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?/topic/194759-[Guida]v2-SnowLeopard-32/64bit-10.6.7Vanilla.-PERFETTA-e-SEMPLICISSIMA!-NO-DISABLER!-AGG:23.03.11 This is the guide. Use Google translate.
TAFKAS
Thank you guys for your answers. When I select stop from Apple menu the monitors goes blank and the fans increase their spins. The machine is down. I need to restart and sometimes the BIOS setting are screwed. This few days of Lion testing has also showed another strange behaviour in the graphic side. Sometimes (after a few hours of operations, maybe) suddenly the graphic became messy, with a lot o blocks portion of the screens overriding each other and with the mouse stucked for a few seconds. I can't to use any finder menu, even to reboot the machine so I need to press the power button for a hard shutdown. I've also tried to use the sharing desktop function but the client connect and stays black.
