jamiethemorris
So I just ran the 10.8.5 update on my Asus X202E, and evrything seems to be working fine except my USB ports (2 USB2 ports and 1 USB3 port). If I use GenericUSBXHCI, plugging in a thumb drive doesn't do anything unless I boot with the drive already plugged in. If I remove the kext, any drive I plug in freezes the computer immediately. All the USB ports show up fine in system profiler regardless of whether I'm using the kext or not. It also happens whether or not I use a dsdt. I'm attaching my dsdt and my Clover config.plist. My Clover version is 1942. Thank you in advance. jamiethemorris_X202E_config+dsdt.zip
jamiethemorris
Solved by adding -gux_defer_usb2 -gux_no_idle to the boot args.

jamiethemorris
Yes, it should AFAIK. Just put it under the kernel flags section and make sure you don't have ncpi=0x2000 or 0x3000.
Gringo Vermelho
Those are kernel flags that are passed on to GenericUSBXHCI.kext. It doesn't matter what boot loader you're using.
