mattt4001 Posted September 28, 2013 Share Posted September 28, 2013 I recently upgraded my hackintosh to 10.8.5. The installation went smoothy and I am able boot into the os. However, now any drive other than the root drive will throw me the error "An unexpected error occurred (error code -50)." when I try to modify files. I am able to read the files without a problem. It seems like the os is treating it as read only. Sometimes the drives will work for a few minutes after turning on the computer; however eventually they will fail. I know the drives are not faulty because the same thing happens to my iPhone when I plug it in. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?
