Catbodi
Okay, I have some really basic questions that I need somebody who knows there way around a Hackintosh to answer. I have a i5-2500k Sandy Bridge CPU. I have a EVGA GTX 770 Kepler Chipset GPU. I have a Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H. I heard I would have problems with using a Series 7 motherboard with a Series 6 CPU in OS X? I don't see a problem? My system is running absolutely fine. I'm running on the MacPro3,1 SMBIOS. Is this is the best choice for me? How do I know if I have Power Management working on my CPU and GPU? I think I already do since my CPU is running at 28C and my GPU at 35C. I haven't installed NullCPUManagement either so I'm assuming that has something to do with it working? Is it working? How can I check if its working for both? nutric
GPU - no translucent menu bar. Clicking on the launcher produces a "tearing" effect, i.e. the animation is not smooth. CPU - install HWMonitor and Fakesmc plugins and check your multiplier. Or download geekbench and run it to see if you get a normal score. If you don't have NullCPU installed then only your speedsteping can be off. Run geekbench and compare your result. You should get around 8000 - 9000
Catbodi
GPU has translucent menu bar, I can use the launcher fine with no tearing effect and the animations are more then smooth. I put my CPU in HWMonitor below, during the Geekbench benchmark the CPU multiplier shot up from x17 to x34-x36. http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/81150

nutric
Geekbench 3 dude. They changed the scores. Cannot compare to Geekbench 2. His score is average
Catbodi
Geekbench 3 dude. They changed the scores. Cannot compare to Geekbench 2. His score is average Except my computer doesn't sleep. If I hit sleep then it goes to sleep fine and then I can wake it back up. But with the power settings that I have set after 10 minutes it won't go to sleep by itself .
nutric
I just noticed your 17x multiplier. 16 should be the lowest
Catbodi
I just noticed your 17x multiplier. 16 should be the lowest The lowest it has dropped is 17x, nothing lower. Is that a major problem? Preventing sleep as well?
nutric
Not really. Do you use custom SSDT?
Catbodi
Not really. Do you use custom SSDT? No, I'm not. Why isn't my sleep working though?
