Are there any issues with this for a build (besides the fact that Haswell support is new):

  • GIGABYTE GA-Z87MX-D3H
  • Intel Core i7-4770S
  • GIGABYTE GV-N65TOC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB
  • Corsair Force Series GS CSSD-F128GBGS-BK 2.5" 128GB

Also hoping this drive will work, but it's less important:

  • LITE-ON DVD Burner - Model iHAS124-04

I saw another thread on a Haswell build with a similar setup that worked. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/292030-success-vanilla-ml-1085-on-ga-z87x-ud4h-4770k-haswell/

I chose the Gigabyte board because I had read that it has compatible LAN/audio.

Are there any potentially problematic components here?

Also, is there a recommended WiFi card that will work (ideally 2.4GHz/5Ghz wireless n)? I imagine that's a solved problem, but it's hard to search Newegg for the chipset used in a wireless NIC. I'd like the cheapest one that is known to work.

Last question, in that thread the person mentioned random lock ups. Is there some Mac equivalent to a kernel memory dump to collect in these instances? Is kernel debugging possible?

Background: I'm a network developer for Windows (hypocritical, I know, but this is for my fiance) so I'm comfortable debugging this. Ideally I want to spend some time testing this system and getting it into a usable/stable state.

Perfect hardware for Hackintosh!

- Nvidia 650 it´s not very fast for edit videos, but works fine!

- Processor is not for over clock, but it´s one of the fastest at the date.

For your last question, If I understand you, try Darwin Dump - was a suggestion from iFire.
